Kingsgate Haven is a Christian Retreat and Conference Centre, situated at the edge of the township of American River on Kangaroo Island, South Australia. American River is halfway between Penneshaw (ferry terminal) and the island’s main township of Kingscote. The airport is just under 20 minutes away.
Accommodation
All rooms have an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, fridge, kettle, tea/coffee supplies and free WIFI. We have various levels of accommodation available to individuals, married couples and conference groups, who can stay in any of the 20 rooms available.

We offer a range of very comfortable accommodation with spectacular views of natural surrounds and views the water to island beach. COVID Update
Due to COVID restrictions on numbers of people in a confined space, and hygiene and cleaning requirements of shared spaces, we have decided to restrict the use of our guest kitchen to volunteer staff only during the busy summer season. However, we will still have our restaurant open during summer for breakfast and dinner. We also have a BBQ available for guest use.
